FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Who runs this site?
This site is run by two sisters - Jenny & Yukari. Jenny (me - the author of this FAQ section) is responsible for the contents of this site such as the updates, the uploads, the comments etc. The layout and coding are all done by Yukari (because Jenny is a retard when it comes to these things).
2. What is the purpose of this site?
The purpose of this site is very simple: to allow visitors to sample music they otherwise wouldn't be able to listen to... and hopefully convince them to support the artists if they like what they hear by visiting YesAsia, CDJapan, Amazon, Tower Records or CD Universe to purchase their CDs. I, myself, have stumbled across many of my favorite artists through mp3 rotations. I can honestly say that a large portion of my CD collection would not exist if it weren't for mp3 rotations. I hope that this site does the same for our visitors.
3. What kind of music does this site feature?
Stuff I'm listening to at the moment... I basically listen to anything except the following: jrock of the visual-kei variety, country, and rap/hip-hop of the American variety. Everything else is a go. You can visit my Last.fm Profile if you're really curious.
4. Can I request a song?
No. I don't want to deal with complications associated with requests. If you don't like what I put up, then that's your problem. Exceptions may be made for people I know personally. Requests in the comment box will be ignored.
5. Why aren't the songs upload on the Love-Train server anymore?
Effective October 01, 2007: All music and video files will be uploaded on file hosting sites. The files will no longer be uploaded onto the Love-Train server. This means no more right-clicking and saving song links, but left clicking to a file-hosting page. The reason? The content collected on our domain has grown so large in size in the past few years that there just isn't enough space in our hosting plan to host these files. I know this is less convenient for our visitors, but it's the route I need take to keep this site alive. On the bright side, this also means our domain will be hit with less bandwidth usage and possibly less server crashes. This also means that I will no longer have to zip music files as file size is no longer a concern. I think this is a pretty good trade off because less crashes and no more hassling with zip files is a plus for our visitors.
6. What should I do if the song link I click on is dead or does not work?
Please leave a message for me in the comment box and I will try to remedy the situation as soon as possible.
7. My question isn't here in this FAQ. What should I do?
If you have any questions that aren't answered here, please email me at: jwu.hawaii[at]gmail.com. Questions asked in the comment box without a proper email address will probably be ignored.
